// Government will fund the 50% discounts on Mon-Wed, while Morrisons will fund it Thur-Sun
Morrisons has announced it would extend the government’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme throughout the week across all of its in-store cafes.
This means customers can enjoy meal prices will be slashed by 50 per cent from Monday to Sunday.
The government-funded scheme operates from Monday to Wednesday but Morrisons said it would fund the 50 per cent discount through the rest of the week.

The discounts will also include the 15 per cent cut in VAT.
To enable more families to eat out this August, Morrisons said it would let kids eat free all day.
“We want as many customers as possible to be able to take advantage of Eat Out to Help Out,” Morrisons head of cafes Ali Lyons said.
“Many customers visit our stores later in the week, so we’re extending this offer throughout the week so they can enjoy half price meals too.”
Morrisons’ cafes were closed during the lockdown but re-opened in July after a multi-million-pound investment in social distancing safety measures.
These included investing in 11,000 freestanding perspex screens so customers can eat in neighbouring booths safely, having hand sanitiser available at all times, and signage that helps customers navigate their way round the cafe while sticking to the one-metre-plus social distancing rule.
