Currys & PC World has introduced same day deliveries for the first time as it improves customer flexibility.

Dixons plc, which owns the two companies, will launch in London and will include same day, next day and Sunday deliveries for small box items.

The same day and Sunday delivery service, which costs £14.99, will be introduced for orders placed before 9.30am, with delivery to the customers between 6.30pm and 10pm.

The company defines Small box deliveries as all products excluding large home appliances and TVs over 39”.

Customers will also now be eligible for next day delivery, which starts from £4.99, if they order before midnight- a significant enhancement to the previous 5pm watershed. The service will then deliver to the customer between 6.30pm-10pm the following day.

The company said in a statement that the deal is also expected to be rolled out to other parts of the country in the short-term.

Services will be available on over 362 days of year, apart from Christmas Day, Easter Sunday and New Year‘s Day.

Sunday deliveries will also be introduced, with delivery between 2:30pm and 6pm will allow for more flexibility and improving on the previous Saturday only weekend service.
