Lindsay Dunsmuir has joined electricals specialist Maplin as Chief Financial Officer.
After working eight years at Ben Sherman, two of which were spent as chief operating officer, Dunsmuir left the company in the wake of its sale to US firm Marquee Brand. She will be replacing Lawrence Coppack, who was working for Maplin as an interim boss.
Maplin will also be gaining a new marketing and ecommerce director in Siobhan Fitzpatrick, the former director of multichannel at Homebase.
Last month Oliver Meakin replaced John Cleland as Maplin‘s boss. In July the retailer reported flat full-year sales.

It’s unfortunate to see the team who drove the Homebase failures have done the same to Maplin who are today struggling to stay alive. I wonder where this team led by Siobahn will migrate next?
