Mr Porter has appointed ex River Island Menswear Buying Director Fiona Firth as its new Buying Director.

Prior to her role at River Island, Firth was Menswear Head of Buying and Merchandising at Harvey Nichols for 17 years, in addition to holding positions at Burton and Harrods. Firth will start at Mr Porter in April and will report into Managing Director Toby Bateman. Bateman previously held Firth‘s new role and was promoted last year.

“Fiona‘s key experience comes from her time as head of men‘s wear at Harvey Nichols, where she was instrumental in introducing a number of designer and contemporary brands to the U.K. market,” Bateman said.

“In her latest role as men‘s wear buying director at River Island, she is responsible for global sourcing and a fast design and production process. This mix of luxury designer and high street experience makes Fiona a unique talent in the men‘s wear business and we are excited to welcome her to Mr Porter.”
