Following the recent integration of Walgreens and Alliance Boots, the retail group has now announced a number of changes to its senior management team to streamline the business.
Alex Gourlay, Executive Vice President of Walgreens Boots Alliance and President of Walgreens and Ornella Barra, Executive Vice President of Walgreens Boots Alliance and President and Chief Executive of Global Wholesale and International Retail have been appointed to the role of Co-Chief Operating Officers.
Barra will supervise Global Brands, Human Resources and other business services, while Gourlay will oversee Walgreens and Boots.
Kathleen Wilson-Thomas, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Human Resources Officer and Ken Murphy who will become Executive Vice President of Walgreens Boots Alliance and Chief Commercial Officer and President of Global Brands will report to Barra.
Further, Simon Roberts, Executive Vice President of Walgreens Boots Alliance and President of Boots has confirmed that he will depart from the company in July to pursue new opportunities.
Senior Vice President and MD International Retail Elizabeth Fagan will take on the role as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Boots.
