ScS reports steady order growth ahead of interim results

ScS has released a trading update reporting like-for-like growth in order intake and stated that it expects to expand market share amid a highly competitive market.

In the 26 weeks to January 28, like-for-like order intake rose by 2.7 per cent, adding that on a two-year time scale this has risen by 12.5 per cent.

“We remain mindful that the group still faces the key Easter and May bank holiday trading periods and faces very strong comparatives during the remainder of the year,” a spokesperson said.

“The board believes the business remains in a strong position to maximise opportunities as they arise and to grow market share.”

The sofa and carpet retailer, which now trades in 100 locations as well as 28 concessions in House of Fraser, will release its interim results in March.
