Online retail giant eBay has poached Tesco‘s director of general merchandise to take over as UK vice president.

Rob Hattrell, who leaves the grocery giant after eight years, will replace Tanya Lawler and will report directly to eBay European vice president Paul Todd.

Having joined Tesco in 2009 as IT director, Hattrell held various subsequent roles at the retailer leading to his role as director of general merchandise which he‘s held since 2014.
