Westgate shopping centre in Oxford has received an official opening date, having pre-let 70 per cent of the new development.

The 800,000sq ft development will open its doors to the public on October 24, aiming to catch the Christmas trading build-up.

Included in the development is a 140,000sq ft John Lewis, accompanied by 100 new retail stores. This includes numerous high-profile clothing brands seeking to transform fashion retail in the area.
