Former senior Tesco staffer named Well’s new HR lead

Tesco‘s former learning and development lead Ben Turner has been named human resources director of independent pharmacy chain Well.

The announcement comes as Turner, who is also the former head of HR at Tesco‘s One Stop subsidiary, initially held the role in a six-month interim appointment.

Starting in April, Turner brings to Well 18 years of experience in learning, talent and resourcing, having worked for the last two years as part of chain‘s HR leadership team.

He is also the newest member of Well‘s executive board, and the key focus of his role will be the development and successful implementation of a people strategy that strengthens employee engagement and drives business growth.

“We are going through a really exciting period of transformation at Well, and I am passionate about fully including, engaging and supporting all our colleagues through these changes,” Turner said.

“Our people are what makes us different, and I‘m committed to nurturing the existing talent within the business through the development of a number of career pathways, as well as attracting the best new talent to join us.”
