Westfield prepares for “incredibly busy time” as Eid approaches

Westfield has announced plans to release exclusive products, services and offers to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramandan.

From June 25 – 26 Westfield will celebrate Eid, which traditionally sparks a surge in retail spend. Last year spend from middle-eastern tourists shot up 17.6 per cent over Eid at Westfield London, and 12.6 per cent at Westfield Stratford City.

Exclusive items on offer include Prada‘s limited-edition animal collection, Tory Burch‘s Vail Espadrille sandals and The Watch Gallery‘s limited-edition piece with Hublot among others.

Alongside exclusive items will be a range of offers from retailers and restaurants. Michael Kors is giving away a leather wallet worth £50 when spending over £350, Tory Burch is giving away free earrings worth £75 when spend is over £250 and Karen Millen is offering a leather passport holder worth £35 when spending over £200.

From a retail perspective Ramadan marks an incredibly busy time, as Middle Eastern visitors come to spend the festive period in the capital, as well as the London Muslim communities we welcome on a regular basis at both Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City,” Westfield’s Chief Marketing Officer Myf Ryan said.

“2016 represented a bumper year for international spend from the Middle East with, 18% of Westfield London‘s luxury spend from within The Village coming from UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait alone. In fact, 23% of our whole Westfield London tourist spend came from these 4 Middle Eastern markets.

“We look forward to welcoming those celebrating this weekend, we wish you a happy Eid from all at Westfield.”
