Flannels opens first ever Scottish store

Flannels has made its bricks-and-mortar debut in Scotland, opening a shop at Silverburn shopping centre in Glasgow.

The 756sq ft store for the upmarket fashion retailer, which is owned by Mike Ashley’s Sports Direct, follows an opening in Meadowhall in Yorkshire in May.

The chain’s Scottish debut stocks a number of international brands across men‘s and women‘s designer clothing, footwear and accessories.

“With constant footfall and a strong reputation, Silverburn is the perfect place for our debut site in Scotland,” a Flannels spokesperson said.

“We are excited to share our collection of fantastic designer brands and continue our success across the UK.”

Silverburn centre manager David Pierotti added: “Flannels‘ decision to open its first store in Scotland at the centre adds to the outstanding retail offer already available, and is reflective of Silverburn‘s increasing appeal for premium brands.”

Other stores that have recently opened at Silverburn include  luxury bath and body care specialists, Molton Brown, fashion retailer Jack Wills and beauty retailer Kiko Milano.

    followed by stores in Sutton and Chester in August 2019. By the end of 2019 Flannels opened further stores in Watford, Belfast, York. Flannels York opened within part of the former British Home Stores shop on Coney Street, which had been empty since 29 August 2016.
