Womenswear retailer Quiz has hired Lesley Morton to be its new head of marketing.
Morton has more than 15 years’ experience in consumer-led marketing communications, with her most recent role being head of marketing and brand communications at Ultimo Brands International.
Prior to Ultimo, she was head of brand as Stripe Communications, a consumer communications agency that counted John Lewis as one of its clients. She had also held consultancy roles at CSM Sport and Entertainment.
At Quiz, Morton will be responsible for driving both offline and online areas of marketing and developing creative marketing campaigns which increase brand awareness and drive customer engagement. Social media will also be a key part of her new role.
“Her impressive experience and understanding of the Quiz brand mean that she is well placed to develop innovative campaigns that bring a step change in brand awareness and create new experiences that delight new and existing customers around the world,” chief commercial officer Sheraz Ramzan said.
Morton’s appoint forms part of Quiz’s plans to grow both in the UK and internationally through its retail, online, wholesale and franchise channels.
As part of its online strategy, the retailer is set to launch new international websites, broaden product ranges and develop and improve the existing mobile channel.
Morton joined the company last month.
