Trouva expands to Germany

Trouva, the UK-based curated online marketplace for independent bricks-and-mortar retailers, has taken formally launched in Germany in its first step to global expansion today.

Just as it does in the UK, Trouva will be offering independent retailers based in Berlin an online customer base through its marketplace, as well as in-store technology such as inventory management software, real-time logistics platform and AI machine learning.

They will also have the ability to offer customers same-day click-and-collect and worldwide shipping.

The news follows Trouva’s recent Series A funding announcement, which saw $10 million invested in the company in a round led by BGF Ventures alongside Index Ventures and Octopus Ventures.

“It’s an incredible time for growth at Trouva with the recent announcement of our Series A, which has quickly led to our expansion into Berlin as the first stepping stone in our mission to unite the world’s greatest independent shops on our platform,” chief executive and co-founder Mandeep Singh said.
