Herriman will leave the catalogue retailer at the end of the year and will now focus on a new venture.

She joined the business in 2013 and is credited with growing international growth in all three of its core markets, UK, Germany and the US.

Furthermore, she oversaw parntnerships with major British companies like the Roald Dahl estate, and was names Ad Age’s Woman to Watch in 2016 thanks to her work at Boden.

“Boden is a unique family company and I am extremely proud of how the brand has evolved over the last five years,” Herriman said.

“It’s taught me to be entrepreneurial and aim high, so I feel now is the time to leave and challenge myself even more.”

Boden chief executive Jill Easterbrook said: “Penny is a great member of our leadership team. Her passion for the Boden brand is infectious and she has achieved much here.

“She will be sorely missed, and I am sure will be equally successful in her next venture.”
