Abercrombie & Fitch opens second UK location at Intu Trafford Centre

Abercrombie & Fitch (A&F) has opened a new prototype store in Manchester’s Intu Trafford Centre, following its announcement in April.

The new prototype was designed to encourage product interaction while providing the customer with a new vision of the A&F brand.

The layout of the new 5554sq ft store, the American fashion brand’s eighth internationally, includes changing rooms with separate light and music controls and phone charging docks.

Checkout points have also been placed around the store to avoid long queues.

“Intu’s high footfall, experience-based destinations are popular locations for international brands looking to thrive within new areas of the UK,” Intu’s regional managing director Colin Flinn said.

“Abercrombie & Fitch’s new store has been carefully designed to give Intu Trafford Centre shoppers even more to enjoy as part of their big day out at the Centre.”

The site is one of eight new prototype stores that have been completed since the initial launch of the design in February 2017.

Abercrombie & Fitch brand president Stacia Andersen added: “We are delighted to unveil our new store design in the UK for the first time, in the fashion-forward and vibrant city of Manchester.

“Customers old and new will discover A&F’s evolved brand experience and collections, in a space designed to deliver a seamless experience across all our platforms.”

The store in Manchester is only the second location outside of the US following an opening in Hong Kong.
