// Mark Reed joins Hunter as its new CFO
// He will make the move from Anya Hindmarch, where he has been CFO since 2017

Hunter has announced the appointment of Mark Reed as its new chief financial officer with immediate effect.

Reed joins the upmarket footwear label and retailer from Anya Hindmarch, where he served in a similar role since 2017.

He brings significant financial and retail expertise, having also served as finance director at menswear retailer Hackett for over 13 years.

The announcement represents a further strengthening of Hunter’s senior leadership team, following the appointments of merchandising director Lizzie Samuels and EMEA commercial director Roope Karmavuo last year.

Hunter also recently selected Jim Calhoun, former president and chief executive of Converse, to join its board of directors.

“2018 represented an important milestone in the execution of our plans,” Hunter chief executive Vincent Wauters said.

“We are showing continued growth across all regions, channels and key product categories, and I look forward to working with Mark as we oversee the long-term prosperity of the brand.”
