// Dolce & Gabbana extends womenswear size range to XXL
// The brand is one of the few luxury fashion houses to take this initiative

Dolce & Gabbana (D&G) has revealed a womenswear plus-size range after announcing that it was going to extend its size range to include XXL.

The Italian fashion house told Fashion Network that “the size range for some items in the collection has been extended to 54 Italy (50 France, 22 UK).”

D&G’s founders Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana “have always cherished female sensuality in all its forms and expression,” the company said.

“Beauty isn’t a size, it’s a state of mind, and attitude and courage make a woman beautiful.”

The company’s inclusive initiative is a step forward in the retail industry, joining the likes of sportswear giant Nike, who recently unveiled a plus-size mannequin at its London flagship store.
