Crew Clothing Company has registered a record-breaking Christmas as sales growth both in-store and online saw it defy tough trading conditions on the high street.

For the eight weeks to January 5, the fashion retailer saw overall sales jump by 12 per cent.

Crew Clothing Company said this was bolstered by a four per cent uptick in store sales, while online sales surged 18 per cent.

“It’s been a great year for Crew Clothing, with Christmas creating record sales highs,” chief executive David Butler said.

“Regular new lines, the introduction of a transitional range and a competitive mark down strategy has boosted sales over the period.

“Together this has contributed to one of the business’s best years in its 27-year history, putting us in a strong position as we move into 2020.”
