// ProCook’s Christmas sales grew 20% year-on-year to £10m
// Boosted by 13% growth in in-store sales and 28% surge online
ProCook has posted record sales for its peak Christmas trading period, driven by double-digit surges in both in-store and online sales.
For the eight week period ending January 5, which incorporates both Christmas and Black Friday, the kitchen and diningware retailer said it raked in almost £10 million in sales.
This represented a 20 per cent increase on last year.

ProCook attributed the performance to 13 per cent like-for-like lift in in-store retail sales and a 28 per cent surge online.
ProCook founder Daniel O’Neill said the recent peak trading period “exceeded all expectations”.
“Our retail growth was the stand out performance with a 13 per cent like-for-like increase – unheard of in today’s retail climate,” he said.
Last year ProCook opened 13 high street stores from its acquisition of Steamer Trading and a further new unit in the Icon Outlet Shopping Centre at London’s O2.
Total sales for the business including the new high street stores were up 45 per cent on the same period for 2018.
“The high street model has many challenges and we’re working hard to overcome these and make progress in this area,” O’Niell said.
“Our strong results can be attributed to both the strength of the team at ProCook and the introduction of many new products including an extensive table top range.
“Although cautious we are confident of continued success in 2020.”
