Topps Tiles has appointed the finance boss of a US beverage company, Stephen Hopson, as its new chief financial officer.
Hopson, who will join Topps Tiles at the start of November, is currently the Western Europe central finance director at multinational brewing company Molson Coors.
Prior to Molson Coors, he was the finance director at pipeline and heating distributer BSS, and has also held a variety of senior finance roles at Travis Perkins and pubs group Mitchells & Butlers.

“Stephen is an experienced financial professional, with a strong track record across both consumer and trade markets, including investor relations,” Topps Tiles chief executive Rob Parker said.
“We are looking forward to welcoming him to the business in the autumn.”
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic affecting trading for most retailers, Topps Tiles said it has seen an improvement in sales.
The DIY retailer reported last month that it expected to make a “modest” profit this year following an improvement in trading.
In the six weeks to August 8, sales rose by 13 per cent while like-for-like retail revenues were up 16 per cent year-on-year.
Topps Tiles also said its performance throughout the Covid-19 pandemic has been much better than initial forecasts.
