This spring, the American internet media, news and entertainment giant BuzzFeed is set to open two convenience stores in New York City’s LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal C as part of an exclusive agreement with airport retailer Stellar Partners.

The stores will stock magazines, travel supplies, snacks, beauty products, lifestyle items, and more, just like any other convenience store. However, travelers can stay connected with the world by checking out the latest news and entertainment on BuzzFeed monitors throughout the store.

“We’ll utilize our data-driven research and insights to give consumers a curated travel experience with the products they want most,” BuzzFeed SVP of Consumer Products, Melanie Summers, said in a statement.

In recent years BuzzFeed has been interested in moving into retail.

Back in 2018, the company opened its first Camp experiential toy stores in NYC and in 2019 the media giant expected to drive $260 million in BuzzFeed product sales, led by food and Walmart-exclusive cookware under its Tasty subsidiary.
