Hobbycraft launches monthly subscription service for small businesses

// Hobbycraft today launched its new subscription service, Hobbycraft Plus, for small craft businesses
// The service costs £80 and subscribers get 15% discount off Hobbycraft products and free next-day delivery on orders over £25

Hobbycraft has launched its new subscription service to give small craft businesses access to bulk products, cost savings and targeted advice.

The Hobbycraft Plus subscription is introduced as businesses grapple with rising costs and many individuals look to make additional income from crafting hobbies amid the cost-of-living crisis.

For £80 a month, subscribers get a 15% discount on Hobbycraft’s in-store and online range, and get free next-day delivery on orders over £25.

Subscribers also get access to bulk product and packaging and free seminars focused on helping to grow your business.

Hobbycraft customer director Katherine Paterson said: “Our objective is quite simple, we want to support would-be professional crafters to make their dreams a reality and avid crafters who simply like to make lots.

“We look forward to helping our customers make the transition from hobby crafters to professional crafters.”

Hobbycraft Plus has been built in collaboration with key third-party crafting businesses, including online marketplace Folksy, creative markets directory Pedddle, and Untld Project, a PR firm specialising in creative and crafty brands.

The firms will be running seminars to help businesses build new skills and growth opportunities.

The marketplace comes as Hobbycraft plots growth. The retailer, which grew adjusted pre-tax profits by 8.7% to £15 million in its last financial year, is eyeing opening more stores.

In June, Hobbycraft chief executive Dominic Jordan said the company is “incredibly well placed” to grow with initiatives including a new website, workshop channel, new stores and its subscription service.
