H&M slammed by Justin Bieber over ‘trash’ merch released without his permission

H&M has been slammed by Canadian musician Justin Bieber for selling unapproved merchandise.

The singer took to his Instagram claiming the fashion retailer did not have permission or consent to create the collection.

“The H&M merch they made of me is trash and I didn’t approve it,” he shared on his Instagram story.

Shoppers are able to purchase hoodies, sweatshirts and t-shirts with pictures of Bieber or his lyrics from the fashion retailer.

The Swedish giant has denied the allegations and said: “As with all other licensed products and partnerships, H&M followed proper approval procedures.”

Last week, the retailer posted net sales between September and November rose 10% year on year to 62.5 billion Swedish crowns beating its forecast of 9.5%.
