Poundlands painted its self into a corner from it was listed it’s completely lost its way it doesn’t offer a single thing that can’t be bought anywhere else at the same price or cheaper, even with pep and co a limited homeward range and clothing that’s definitely lost its edge in price and quality to Primark, when you run price comparison campaigns you tell the consumer one thing: they have to think about the prices in your store and compare them so your naturally not the cheapest

    They need to look again

The name poundlands just doing them damage at this stage because people instantly associate it with past value that’s not there any more,

If it was me id split the stores into 3 category’s

Largest stores rebranded to pep and co larger focus on limited run homeware and lifestyle collections

Legacy stores, stores with short leases unsuitable locations or underperforming

Rebrand smaller stores with a focus on value and convince with a new name like “now” to emphasize convenience
