Frasers brings former JD-owned brands under Flannels umbrella

Guilio, Choice and Base Childrenswear shops are set to close as Frasers Group brings the brands under its Flannels umbrella.

The group snapped up the three chains and 12 others from JD Sports for £47.5m back in December.

Drapers reported that Choice and Guilio is to be brought under the Flannels brand, while Base Childrenswear will be rebranded as Flannels Junior in the next few months.

The three brands have launched closing down sales and Frasers will close the stores permanently in areas with existing Flannels outlets.

The acquisition of the JD brands follows a string of deals from the group, which snapped up several businesses over the last year, including Amara, ISawItFirst.com, Missguided and Gieves & Hawkes.
