Ted Baker has slashed approximately 200 head office jobs as its outsourcing model comes into effect.

Around 200 head office roles were made redundant earlier this month across departments including sourcing, finance, production, and footwear, according to Drapers.

The fashion retailer was snapped up by Juicy Couture owner Authentic Brands Group for £211m back in October.

The redundancies come after Authentic Brands Group outsourced Ted Baker stores and its ecommerce site to retail management business AARC in April.

It will operate the business in 11 countries across Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Last month, Authentic Brands Group signed a long-term licensing agreement with UK shoes and accessories brand Aldo to manufacture Ted Baker footwear, handbags and small leather goods.

Former chief executive Rachel Osborne left the company sixth months after the acquisition, along with chief financial officer Marc Dench, chief people officer Peter Collyer and commercial and business development director Helen Costello.

At the start of the month Authentic Brands acquired the intellectual property of footwear retailer Hunter.

Authentic chief executive Jamie Salter said: “We are excited to finalize the acquisition of Hunter, an original footwear and outerwear pioneer.

“At the intersection of fashion and outdoor, Hunter introduces another elevated global brand to Authentic’s diverse Lifestyle portfolio.

“We are also pleased to expand our relationships with two long-standing Authentic partners, Batra Group and Marc Fisher… we will look forward to working with them and our greater partner network to continue growing the Hunter brand.”
