Ted Baker chief executive Rachel Osborne is to step down from her role six months after the retailer was snapped up by Authentic Brands Group.

Sky News reported that Osborne will leave the company in the coming months.

Her departure comes as Authentic is in the process of converting the business into a brand licensing model.

Osborne joined the retailer in 2019 as its finance chief before taking the helm in 2020 during an accounting scandal.

Authentic is said to be in talks to sign with new partners in the UK to handle the retailer’s design, logistics and other functions. It has already signed deals in the US and China.

Under the new model, sources told the outlet that Ted Baker no longer needs a group chief executive.

Osborne’s departure joins a string of senior exits which saw the retailer’s chief customer officer Jason Beckley and global head of creative Anthony Cuthbertson among others step down.
