M&S slashes prices on 200 products under trusted value promise

M&S Food has announced price cuts on more than 200 products under its trusted value promise to shoppers.

The supermarket has slashed prices by an average of 11% on products including its DNA traceable British beef mince (£4.25), responsibly sourced tuna steaks (£5.50), and Chunky Vegetable soup (£1.10).

M&S Food managing director Alex Freudmann said: “While we continue to deliver industry leading quality, it’s important we don’t lose sight of what’s also important for our customers this autumn – value.

“That’s why we’re passing on savings to customers and cutting prices once again as part of our trusted value promise. So customers can be confident that whenever they shop with M&S they’ll be getting the best possible food for the best possible price”.

The news comes as 50% of shoppers have already started preparing for Christmas, with M&S’s Christmas food to order sales up 22% compared to in 2022, according to the supermarket.

Last month, M&S extended its Price Lock on more than 140 customer favourites until after Christmas on items including its Homestyle frozen chips 1kg (£2.50) and Braeburn Apples Pack of six (£1.70).

Back in June, the retailer also revealed it was cutting the prices of 75 products.
