Amazon has opened a Second Chance store where shoppers can buy returned or refurbished products in-person for the first time.

The store, located at the Brunswick Centre in London, features deals on a range of returned products spanning categories including household appliances, books and games.

The physical store opened in partnership with Barnardo’s will run until 12 December, with all proceeds supporting the charity’s work.

Customers can benefit from up to 50% in savings at the shop compared to recommended retail prices, according to the ecommerce giant.

Amazon has donated over 4,000 products to be sold in the Second Chance store.

The store features a Repairs Zone where shoppers can take part in free repair workshops run by experts.

The online giant already offers shoppers returned products year-round via its Amazon Second Chance website section.

The store opens as Amazon sales of second-hand goods in the UK rose by more than 15% compared to the same time last year.

Earlier this week, it emerged that Amazon’s Black Friday online traffic saw a 1% dip compared to last year, according to SimilarWeb.

The online retailer’s discount event was also disrupted by a series of strikes on Black Friday.
