Watch: John Lewis releases Christmas 2023 ad teaser

John Lewis has released a 10 second teaser of their 2023 Christmas ad, which holds the strapline ‘traditions grow’.
The short clip shows a young boy sifting through a vintage market who finds a box labelled ‘grow your own perfect Christmas tree’, hinting that this may be the focus of the ad.
The department store is set to unveil its full advert this Thursday (9 November).

The ‘traditions grow’ strapline also suggests that John Lewis may highlight its heritage in the much-awaited ad.

The department store is one of the few big retailers that have yet to unveil their festive campaigns.

Retailers have pulled out the big guns this year, with ‘King of Christmas’ Michael Bublé starring in Asda’s ad, while M&S Food has signed up Hollywood A-listers Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Sainsbury’s has gone for a more tongue-in-cheek approach with 80s popstar Rick Astley making a cameo in its ad, while Graham Norton pops up in Waitrose’s campaign.
