Co-op has unveiled a new partnership with Bonmarché, which sees the fashion retailer launching a shop inside the supermarket’s Louth store in Lincolnshire.
Louth’s Co-op, based in Northgate, has undergone a 12-week programme of works and improvements, with the makeover including the introduction of the 3,000 sq ft Bonmarché store, marking the first partnership between the businesses.
Bonmarché, which recently unveiled plans to open 100 new stores across the UK over the next 18 months, will stock clothing in sizes 10 to 28 in the store.
The fashion chain’s retail director Amanda Waterfield hopes this new opening will “lead to more Co-op partnerships in the future”.

She said: “Bonmarché are delighted to be a part of the exciting re-launch of the Louth Co-op store and to be able to offer our fashion to the Louth customer.
“We cannot wait to meet the customers on the launch day, and hear their feedback on our current collections, and hope this opening will lead to more Co-op partnerships in the future.”
Co-op director of format and innovation Mark Matthews added: “As we invest in transforming our Louth store we are committed to creating added services which provide a compelling customer offer in the community.
“The addition of a Bonmarché store will offer further value and choice for our member-owners and customers in Louth.”
