Sosandar has signed the lease for its third store, in the North-East’s Metrocentre.
The fashion retailer’s new store is set to open in October, just in time for the crucial Christmas trading season, and will follow the openings of it two first stores in Chelmsford and Marlow, which are set to launch next month.
The Metrocentre saw 14.4m visitors in 2023 and Sosandar’s new store will be situated in the Platinum Mall, a section known for its high-end and designer retailers, housing brands such as Jo Malone, Harrods’ H Beauty, and Hobbs.
Back in July, Sosandar revealed plans to open up to 50 stores over the next three to five years as the native online brand looks to capitalise on shoppers returning to the high street.
The retailer said it had a number stores in “the latter stages of legal processes” and had identified and is reviewing further prospective locations.
Sosandar co-chief executives Ali Hall and Julie Lavington said: “We have a strict criteria of opening stores in top tier, thriving locations where Sosandar customers over-index, and Metrocentre ticks all these boxes.
“Metrocentre has a reputation for hosting a versatile range of fashion retailers and we look forward to the official opening of our store in the coming months.”
