Hotter Shoes owner Wourth Group has bought German clothes retailer Peter Hahn out of administration, pushing the group’s predicted annual sales from £110m to £300m.
The parent company, which snapped up Hotter Shoes more than a year ago, now owns brands including Scotts of Stow, Thought Clothing and Peter Hahn, Drapers reported.
Excluding Peter Hahn, Wourth – which recently rebranded from WoolOvers Group – sales for the same period are predicted to rise 25% to £110m.
Wourth Group CEO Mike Lester said: “The acquisition made sense to us because their customers are our demographic. We like that because they are brand loyal and economically stable.”
The news comes after Peter Hahn’s UK website was suspended following the firm’s collapse into administration.
