Waitrose has invested a further £10m into lowering prices across nearly 250 of its No.1 and Duchy organic products, in the first phase of its latest round of price cuts.

The move takes the supermarket’s total investment in price cuts to £140m over the last 18 months.

It also marks the sixth time it has slashed prices on hundreds of items since February 2023.

In April, Waitrose cut the price of more than 200 of its weekly shop products under its commitment to deliver great value for money. It also lowered the price of more than 200 own-brand items in February.

The grocer’s new ‘Lower Prices’ campaign has seen price cuts on almost 1,400 products so far.

Waitrose commercial director Charlotte Di Cello said: “This latest investment in prices will include a large number of products across No.1 and our Organic Duchy ranges which we know our customers love.

“With many celebrating Organic Month this September, there’s no better time to try our Organic Duchy food and drink.”

Products experiencing price cuts include its No.1 white sourdough loaf, No.1 vintage Cornish cheddar, and its Duchy organic basmati rice.
