The Range has marked a “significant milestone” in its expansion plans with the opening of 30 new format superstores across the UK and Republic of Ireland since January.

The discount chain has been opening three new stores every Friday since the start of the year following its acquisition of the Homebase brand and up to 70 of its stores back in November.

It’s most recent converted Homebase stores, include Winchester, Balloo Park, Bangor (Northern Ireland), Sligo, and Drogheda (Republic of Ireland) which opened their doors last week.

Alex Simpkin, CEO of CDS Superstores, which operates The Range, said: “We’re so proud to celebrate the opening of 30 new format superstores. This expansion marks a significant milestone in our journey and allows us to offer an even more exciting shopping experience to our customers.”

The transformation of the former Homebase sites has helped retain over 1,000 jobs from team members that transferred across.

The new stores offer The Range’s extensive home, leisure, and garden selection, combined with Homebase’s trusted expertise, including ‘Garden Centres by Homebase’.

The stores also include an expanded ‘Kitchens by Homebase’ department in selected locations, offering high-quality kitchen designs and accessories.

In addition to these enhanced offerings, The Range has introduced a free Click & Collect service, providing customers with the option to pick up products in just 60 minutes.
