Uniqlo has opened the doors to its highly anticipated Liverpool One store, as it seeks to become an “integral part” of the local community.

Covering 1,430sqm over two floors, the Japanese fashion giant’s new store features the full collection of its lifewear for men, women and kids.

Shoppers will be able to explore the retailer’s premium linen range, blocktech, its smart range of water resistant and windproof items, and its popular airism collection.

Based on the ground floor, the store houses a UTme! station, where customers can create their own designs to customise and print onto t-shirts and tote bags.

The store also features the re.Uniqlo studio, where customers can recycle, repair or remake their favourite Uniqlo products.

Customers will be able to personalise and add Scouse inspired embroidery pieces to their items until the end of May.

As part of the grand opening, Uniqlo is partnering with several local businesses and organisations, including Derek’s Sandwich Shop with limited-edition sandwich offerings available at their locations across Liverpool in celebration of the store opening.

The fashion retailer has also partnered with Liverpool’s first ever food market, based in the Baltic Market at Cains Brewery Village.

During the lead up to the opening, Uniqlo joined forces with social and wellness community Girls On The Go to host inclusive runs in April along with city hikes for their community on the opening weekend. Uniqlo is now hosting monthly run clubs with the busines, scheduled through to September 2025.



To mark the grand opening, the store’s first 100 customers to make a purchase of £49.90 on opening day and 26 April will receive a goody bag. Its app customers will be entered into a draw to win a trip to Tokyo, by scanning the app with any purchase during its opening weekend to be entered into the draw.

Additionally, there will be limited price promotions exclusive to the Liverpool store on items including premium linen, blocktech, pleated wide pants and merino crew neck sweaters for men and women.

“Our brand is dedicated to providing innovative and high-quality clothing that caters to the needs of our customers.”

He continued: “With our presence in Liverpool, we aim to become an integral part of the local community, offering a unique shopping experience that blends style, comfort and affordability.”

Uniqlo initially announced its Liverpool store opening in March, along with launches in Glasgow and Birmingham.

Last month, the brand also launched a pop-up shop in the Tate Modern to mark the gallery’s 25th birthday.
