Skims, Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand, is set to open its first standalone UK store in the vacant Ted Baker flagship on Regent Street.

The brand has signed a ten-year lease with The Crown Estate for the 12,000 sq ft unit at 245-247 Regent Street, which has sat mostly empty since Ted Baker’s collapse last year.

Skims, which counts Harrods and Selfridges among its UK stockists, will open its doors in the summer next year.

Chief executive and co-founder Jens Grede told The Times: “Launching a standalone Skims store on London’s Regent Street is a pivotal step in our global expansion.

“This iconic location allows us to forge a deeper, more personal connection with our UK customers, delivering the full Skims experience in a world-class retail destination with authenticity and vision at the heart of our brand.”

Skims, which was last valued at $4bn, is currently working with Nike to launch a new activewear brand called NikeSkims.

The new collaboration, which has been in the works since October 2023, aims to offer women’s training apparel, and eventually footwear and accessories tailored for high-intensity workouts.
