Harvey Nichols is set to transform its Knightsbridge flagship over the coming months as part of the ongoing strategic reset for the luxury department store.

The retailer will stagger the building’s redevelopment across each level, and will unveil its newly refurbished ground floor in September.

Harvey Nichols said the new space will marks a “significant evolution for the brand, introducing a bold direction that blends fine and designer jewellery with a curated lifestyle offer”.

The ground floor will be anchored by a curated jewellery edit from international fashion houses and contemporary designers, as well as a focused of homeware and gifting, including artisan candles, sculptural vases, tabletop objects and
books-as-art, collectable pieces.

The redesign features a bold use of primary colours throughout the space, alongside adaptable, movable fixtures that allow for evolving brand collaborations and seasonal storytelling.

Harvey Nichols will also open the ground floor windows to allow natural light to flood through the store, while the building’s prominent corner window at the junction of Knightsbridge and Sloane Street will become a pop-up space for brands and new launches.

Chief executive Julia Goddard said: “Unveiling the first phase in the substantial redevelopment of our Knightsbridge flagship marks an exciting chapter in the evolution of our brand.

“The ground floor will house a global destination for designer and fine jewellery, featuring a curated mix of established and emerging makers alongside exceptional lifestyle and design pieces.

“With the opening up of the windows and a new flexible experiential space, it offers a dynamic platform for unexpected collaborations and unique brand moments.”
