Mango has launched its virtual fashion assistant tool, Mango Stylist, designed to makes it easy, fast and personalised for shoppers to discover and combine garments .
The fashion giant‘s new tool, which is powered by generative artificial intelligence, is currently available for its woman line across the UK, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Turkey and the US.
Mango Stylist uses algorithms to understand the context and personal tastes of each of its users, according to the retailer, offering them product recommendations tailored to their preferences.
Additionally, it enables customers to explore the latest trends and discover Mango product combinations and complete looks through chat in its e-commerce and Instagram account.
Mango Stylist integrates with the brand’s existing after-sales virtual assistant, Iris, which is already active across several markets, making it possible for Mango to resolve queries both before and after purchase.
The retailer explained that the tool reflected its ongoing commitment to innovation and “the cutting edge in the world of fashion,” that focuses on hybrid experiences which combine traditional browsing with natural conversations supported by AI.
The tool arrives as a growing number of businesses continue embracing AI to enhance operations.
Last month, Debenhams Group teamed up with artificial intelligence platform, Peak, a UiPath company to implement AI at scale across its product pricing and promotions strategy.
In January, John Lewis also became the first UK retailer to implement AI-powered age checks for online knife sales, in a move to prevent under-18s from purchasing kitchen knives.
