Co-op Wholesale and Roadchef are set to supply WHSmith stores at motorway service areas nationwide, under the next stage of their partnership.

The wholesale company is set to supply a selection of ambient, chilled and frozen food and drink, a mix of branded and Co-op own brand, to 31 WHSmith stores at Roadchef sites nationwide from early October.

The rollout marks the latest milestone in a transformative period for Co-op Wholesale, according to the business, as it “accelerates growth in the B2B market by working with trusted national partners to bring the best of Co-op to more customers”.

Co-op Wholesale director of business development and growth Ian King said: “This marks an exciting next step in our partnership with Roadchef where we’re on a fantastic start and accelerating momentum.

“This is a reflection on the strength of our proposition, and flexibility of the model to ensure we’re bringing growth for our partners in a way that suits them and their business.”

Roadchef procurement and supply chain director Kevin Whitehouse said: “At Roadchef, we’re continuously working to enhance the customer experience across our service areas.

“Extending our partnership with Co-op Wholesale into WHSmith stores is part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring we remain a top choice for motorists seeking convenience, variety, and quality on their journeys.”

Co-op Wholesale secured a significant multi-year agreement with Roadchef in April, aimed at accelerating growth and enhancing the on-the-go retail experience.

Earlier this month, the wholesaler also launched a new partnership with Costcutter Supermarkets Group.
