Lifestyle and homeware brand Søstrene Grene reported record sales for the 2024/25 financial year, as it pushed ahead with its UK expansion.
The business pulled in a record 31% revenue rise to £314m over the period.
Gross profit also jumped from £91m to £111m, as pre-tax profit hit £23m.
The Danish retailer said its results were aided by “particularly high performance in the UK,” where revenues rose 130% year-on-year.
Søstrene Grene launched 47 new stores over the year, with the majority located in the UK and Germany.
Moving forward, the group plans to hit a total of 67 store openings in 2025. The chain is targeting 100 shops across the UK in 2027.
Søstrene Grene group CEO and co-owner Mikkel Grene said: “We are proud to announce another record year, with exceptional top-line growth and a solid result despite major investments and structural changes.
“The UK has been a major growth driver, and the warm response from British customers has exceeded expectations.
“Our record-breaking Christmas season was also a key contributor to the results, underlining the growing loyalty of our customer base.”
The firm’s investments over the last year include £11m in a new SAP system, £12.8m for robotics and equipment at its new Netherlands logistics centre, and more than £37m in future logistics investments.
The retailer expects pre-tax profit in the range of £23–25m for the 2025/26 financial year. Total store sales, including franchise operations and VAT, are forecast to hit £473m in 2025.
Søstrene Grene unveiled plans to double its UK footprint by 2027 in May, targeting 100 stores nationwide.
In June, the business revealed that it was gearing up for further European growth with plans to enter Italy and Poland in 2026, as it aims to reach 500 stores by 2027.
