M&S has named Paula Bricks as its new retail director for fashion, home and beauty, effective from November.

Bricks joins the business after serving as store experience director of H&M-owned fashion brand Cos, working her way up from a sales manager in 2007.

Prior to this, she worked for H&M from 1998 to 2006, starting as a store manager and moving up to a sales manager.

Under her new position, the exec is set to work closely with the retailer’s managing director of clothing, home and beauty John Lyttle, Drapers reported.

She will also work closely with the brand’s fashion, home and beauty leadership team and store operations team to elevate its in-store customer experience and support M&S’s shift from a multi-channel to omnichannel retailer.

The executive is set to spend her first two months on induction in store during the Christmas period, before fully beginning her duties in January.

The appointment comes after M&S hired former Asos exec Jag Weatherley as its new transformation director for fashion, home and beauty last month.

The food and fashion specialist also recently named Jon Rolls as its new commercial and operations director for fashion, home and beauty.
