Asda marketing chief Adam Zavalis is stepping down from the supermarket after more than two years.
It is understood the exec, who will depart from Asda later this week, is exiting the business to pursue new opportunities, although he has not confirmed his next move.
Zavalis joined Asda as its vice president of marketing in November 2023, having previously worked for Aldi UK from November 2020 to May 2023 under multiple roles.
During his stint at Asda, he was in charge of the company’s marketing campaigns, initially through Havas London and then via Lucky Generals.
Asda has not confirmed how it is planning to replace Zavalis. However, the grocery giant is believed to be looking for a senior marketing executive to sit across the Asda and George brands, according to Marketing Week.
An Asda spokesman said: “We can confirm that Adam Zavalis, vice president marketing, has decided to leave the business.
“We would like to place on record our thanks to Adam for his contribution during the last two years and wish him all the best for the future.”
