Next is considering snapping up LK Bennett, after the luxury fashion retailer filed an application with the High Court in December to appoint administrators.
The retail giant is mulling a cut-price offer to purchase LK Bennett’s brand and other intellectual property assets, Sky News reported.
However, retail industry sources said it was unlikely Next would pursue any offer that involved the designer clothing brand’s small estate of retail outlets.
It comes after LK Bennett filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators on 30 December, with the business reportedly “on the brink of collapse”.
Retail Gazette has contacted Next for comment.
In December, it was reported that Next was in discussions to snap up shoe retailer Russell & Bromley.
Earlier in 2025, the company also acquired the branding and intellectual property of maternity group Seraphine, which fell into administration at the start of July.
