Heathrow has expanded its luxury retail offer in Terminal 5 with a string of new and refurbished stores from brands including Bottega Veneta, Prada, Dior, ZEGNA and Smythson, with Hermès set to follow this month.
The airport said the openings form part of its wider investment in improving the passenger experience and strengthening its premium retail proposition.
The revamp comes after Heathrow was named the World’s Best Airport for Shopping at the Skytrax World Airport Awards earlier this year.
Bottega Veneta was the first store to reopen as part of the Terminal 5 luxury overhaul. The redesigned boutique features terrazzo flooring, new furniture and a warmer, more intimate interior, alongside collections spanning leather goods, footwear, jewellery, fragrances and travel accessories.
Italian menswear label ZEGNA has also joined Heathrow’s luxury line-up with a new boutique featuring the brand’s foliage-inspired colour palette and contemporary furnishings.
The store stocks key ZEGNA lines including Triple Stitch sneakers, overshirts, knitwear and accessories.
Prada has meanwhile opened a new Terminal 5 store offering speciality handbags exclusive to Heathrow. The opening coincides with the fashion house’s Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, designed under Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons.
Dior has upgraded its existing Terminal 5 boutique, expanding its assortment to include leather goods, accessories and seasonal products alongside men’s and women’s ready-to-wear.
The revamped shop features mirrored ceilings designed to create a brighter and more spacious environment. Dior also marked the store’s launch with a calligrapher offering shoppers complimentary personalised bookmarks.
British luxury stationery and leather goods brand Smythson has returned to Terminal 5 in a move that coincides with the 30th anniversary of its first Heathrow store.
Its new shop offers stationery, diaries and leather products as well as an exclusive gold-stamping service, allowing customers to personalise purchases with initials, motifs and designs inspired by vintage passport stamps.
Smythson is also selling selected travel products in Heathrow-exclusive colourways including Turmeric, Nutmeg, Silver and Eau de Nil.
Heathrow head of category for luxury, fashion and duty free Nancy Stewart said: “Luxury shopping is about choice as much as it’s about exclusivity. From iconic international fashion houses to beloved British brands, travellers now have an even greater range of options and access to items that are unique to Heathrow.
“It’s been a pleasure working with our trusted brand partners to bring these new stores to Terminal 5. Our shared focus on delivering an exceptional passenger experience is especially important in a commercially challenging post-Brexit environment, where the UK remains an international outlier without tax-free shopping.”
She added that Hermès is due to open its new boutique this month as Heathrow continues investing in its premium retail offer.
“With Hermès also opening its new boutique this month, we’re continuing to invest in a premium retail experience that reflects the expectations of today’s passengers and supports our ambition to make Heathrow a world leader in passenger experience,” Stewart said.
