US ultra-luxury resale platform Fashionphile recently opened its first physical retail space in the UK, launching a pop-up in Vauxhall.
The launch marks the next stage in the brand’s UK expansion, and comes less than a year after it launched online in the UK market.
It also follows the retailer’s acquisition of former secondhand luxury fashion company Luxe Collective’s digital assets last year.
“A strong appetite for pre-owned luxury”
The new pop-up enables customers to shop Fashionphile’s collection of “authenticated luxury pieces” in person for the first time.
Its showroom offers shoppers a curated selection of ultra-luxury handbags, jewellery and accessories.
The space showcases pieces from big names including Chanel, Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Gucci. It aims to feature rare colourways, limited-edition designs, sought-after classics and hard-to-find vintage pieces.
Customers are able to book appointments to shop or sell in the store, while receiving “dedicated one-to-one support” from its team.
The business’s head of UK brand and growth Ben Gallagher explains that Fashionphile chose to launch a physical retail space in the UK due to the UK forming “one of the world’s most important luxury markets” with “a strong appetite for pre-owned luxury”.
“Following our online launch in October 2025, a physical space was the natural next step, allowing customers to experience Fashionphile in a more personal and tangible way,” he says.
In terms of its location on Black Prince Road, Vauxhall, Gallagher says the company chose the area since it allowed them to “create an intimate, appointment-led experience rather than a traditional retail store”.
“It also gives us the opportunity to learn how UK customers want to shop and sell with us ahead of our permanent London flagship,” he adds.
“It is also on one of London’s busiest underground train lines, the Victoria Line.”
“Significant potential for a broader UK presence”
The pop-up has been created for “established collectors and first-time resale shoppers alike,” according to Fashionphile, with the space enabling them to “view pieces up close and access their craftsmanship and condition”.
Additionally, shoppers are able to browse the retailer’s latest collection online and arrange a collection from the Vauxhall site.
Elaborating on its target audience, the exec says that the pop-up is for “sellers and shoppers in London who want a more personal and intimate experience than online”.
“It gives sellers the opportunity to meet our team face-to-face, while shoppers can see, touch and try pieces before purchasing,” he explains.
The store launch comes after Fashionphile made its UK market debut online in October 2025, as the brand snapped up Luxe Collective following its closure in May 2025.
Following the closure of Luxe Collective, Fashionphile entered the UK market as Fashionphile UK, via the acquisition of the intellectual property, customer database, and social media channels of Luxe Collective, according to FashionNetwork.com.
The brand initially began its operations under the domain LuxeCollectiveFashion.com, while Luxe Collective’s social media channels evolved into Fashionphile Collective.
Gallagher explains that while Fashionphile’s online launch introduced the business to the UK, its Vauxhall showroom “brings the brand to life physically”.
“It allows us to combine the convenience of our digital platform with a more personal, service-led experience,” he adds.
Although Gallagher remains tight-lipped about the retailer’s plans for its London flagship, he tells Retail Gazette to “watch this space”.
“The Vauxhall space gives us a great chance to connect with our UK customers, and their feedback will help shape what comes next,” he emphasises.
In terms of other potential store launches in the UK, the exec insists that its “immediate focus is London”.
“We see significant potential for a broader UK presence in the future, but any further locations will be driven by customer demand and what we learn from London,” he explains.
Regarding expansion plans further afield, Gallagher insists that “for now” it is “focused on growing the UK market and making the most of the Vauxhall space”.
However, he adds: “It’s still early days, so we’ll have more to share on what’s next in due course.”
