Morrisons has agreed a new partnership with SpotlessWater that will see 24/7 self-service pure water stations installed across its national estate.
Starting with nine sites by January, the move forms part of the supermarket’s strategy to expand the range of services operating within its stores and forecourts.
SpotlessWater, which provides ultra-pure water used by window cleaners, vehicle detailers and solar panel specialists, will open its first Morrisons sites in Shrewsbury, Lichfield and Woking in October.
A further nine, including Cardiff, Whitley Bay and Stratford, will go live by early 2026, with further set to roll out in the future.
The company operates more than 150 stations nationwide and has dispensed over 600 million litres since launching in 2016.
Its technology minimises water waste and removes the need for disposable resins and harsh cleaning agents, with stations monitored in real time through more than 45 sensors tracking water quality, flow and pressure.
SpotlessWater CEO Tim Morris said the collaboration would give customers access to “more convenient, secure and well-located stations” while providing the retailer with a complementary revenue stream.
Morrisons services procurement manager Jason Mallinson added that the partnership would offer a “new and sustainable service” supporting local professionals and increasing reasons to visit its stores.
