Asda has unveiled its Easter campaign, which captures the “playful chaos” of the holiday.
Devised by creative agency Lucky Generals, the campaign builds upon its ‘That’s Asda Price’ platform.
It features two 20-second spots. In the first film, a young girl shows off her Easter bonnet, an “over-the-top” design with lights, eggs and a cheeky mechanical rabbit.
The second film follows a couple heading to a family gathering. Once they arrive, they are greeted by a giant Easter egg with the words “Eggcited you’re here” painted across it.
Asda’s marketing director Jen England said: “Easter is a moment where families naturally want to go big – on the food, the fun and the little traditions that make it special.
“This campaign taps into that energy in a way that feels unmistakeably Asda – upbeat, relatable and full of personality, showing that we’re here to help customers bring extra joy to the long weekend, with Asda Price at the heart.”
Both spots feature seasonal offers from the retailer and will run across TV, radio, press and social media.
A spokesperson from Lucky Generals said: “Nothing says Big Easter Energy like a five-meter-high, inflatable, confetti-popping egg in your front garden. And no one is doing Big Easter Energy like Asda this year.”
