The Perfume Shop has promoted two women into senior supply chain and logistics roles as its latest gender pay gap report showed further progress on pay equity.

Lauren Seabrook has been appointed head of supply chain, while Shelley Malone has stepped into the role of logistics operations manager, in moves the retailer said reflect its focus on developing talent internally.

Seabrook previously served as head of merchandising and will now lead efforts around operational transformation, automation and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Malone has spent almost two decades within the wider AS Watson group, having joined Superdrug in 2007 before moving to The Perfume Shop in 2011. She has since held a number of operational roles across the business.

The appointments come as The Perfume Shop published its 2025 gender pay gap report, which showed 76 per cent of employees in the upper pay quartile are women.

The retailer also reported that its mean gender pay gap improved to 12.93 per cent, down 2.06 percentage points on 2024. Its median gender bonus gap moved from 7.97 per cent in 2024 to minus 9.87 per cent in 2025.

People, sustainability and development director Michelle Fellows said: “Developing our people is central to who we are as a business.

“Lauren and Shelley are fantastic examples of how female talent can grow within The Perfume Shop, and their journeys highlight the opportunities available for people who want to build long term careers with us.”

Managing director Gill Smith added: “We are incredibly proud to see these women progress into senior roles within our business. Lauren and Shelley both represent the dedication, expertise and passion that our teams bring every day.”

The retailer said the promotions form part of a broader push to support internal progression and strengthen female representation across leadership roles, alongside wider investment in development programmes and workplace policies.
