Asda has introduced its Rewards Plus app feature to consumers in Scotland.

The feature gives customers the chance to earn up with £16 per a month in their cashpot on the app as well as earn additional fuel savings vouchers.

By scanning their Asda Rewards app, consumers can “level-up” their rewards and new benefits are unlocked each time a consumer reaches a new spending threshold.

These thresholds for October include earning £1 for every £25 spent, 5p off every litre of fuel on one fill up when spending £75 and 10 per cent back in their Cashpot on their next ship when spending £300 (max £10 reward).

Chris Chalmers, customer data and loyalty director at Asda, said: “Rewards Plus is a new way for customers to get more value from their everyday shopping. Whether that’s fuel savings, money-off or Cashpot rewards, it unlocks extra value throughout the month on the shopping they’re already doing at Asda.

“We look forward to seeing customers in Scotland get their hands on Rewards Plus and make the most of everything it has to offer.”

This follows research from Asda that showed spending power growth slowed to 3.4 per cent last month, its weakest level since March. The launch of this feature is also part of the retailer’s focus on helping consumers get more for their money.
